Motion from Appeals & Academic Honesty Committee

The Faculty of Graduate Studies’ Appeals & Academic Honesty Committee strongly urges, and the Faculty of Graduate Studies Academic Planning & Policy Committee endorsed, and recommends endorsement by Council:

  • graduate programs to consider ways to ensure students struggling with writing are well connected to supports and services available on campus;
  • FGS to ensure all students found to have breached the Senate Policy on Academic Honesty are informed of writing support services on campus;
  • all offices that support international graduate students to consider how their needs may differ from domestic students with respect to integrating into a new educational setting, and ensure that international students are well connected to writing supports and services available on campus; and,
