The Faculty of Graduate Studies is partnering with Learning Skills Services to offer a certificate in learning and wellness skills. The program is free and open to all York graduate students.
The program includes six sessions offered weekly on Wednesdays. The certificate will cover skills and concepts from the field of positive psychology including gratitude, self-compassion, mindfulness, and resilience, as well as strategies to start and maintain new health habits (goal-setting, motivation). The program also provides information and opportunity to practice learning skills to assist with graduate studies including academic reading, procrastination, and time management. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with their peers and become familiar with supports available to graduate students at York University.
When: Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:30pm, with a break for Reading Week (January 23rd, January 30th, February 6th, February 13th, February 27th, March 6th)
