Some notable recent graduate student accolades include:

In 2016, four graduate students were recipients of the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, one of the most preeminent graduate fellowships in the country.
Three graduate students were awarded the Trudeau Doctoral Scholarship in 2016 – a prestigious national award with only 15 recipients selected per year.
Douglas Hunter, a recent PhD graduate, won Canada’s Distinguished Dissertation Award, which was presented to him at the 2016 Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS) conference.
Admissions Decision
To accept your offer of admission, please visit MyFile, York University’s application status tool. You would have received an e-mail containing your York reference number to track the progress of your application on MyFile.
Log in to MyFile at yorku.ca/myfile to accept your offer. If you were conditionally admitted to your program, please provide the required documentation to satisfy the conditions as soon as possible. These documents must be submitted prior to the start of the term. Through MyFile you can upload documents that are required to complete your application.

The Office of Admission, York University, sends official communication about application and admission via e-mail. You will receive acknowledgement of your application as well as information about financial aid, on-campus events, offers of admission and your next steps after acceptance.

Getting in touch with other faculty and students within your graduate program can give you helpful insight prior to your arrival and ensure that you are well prepared to begin your academic journey here at York.

Connect with your graduate program office and/or supervisor for information about advising, courses and program orientation.
Graduate programs will typically inform you via email on these procedures closer to the beginning of your first term.

At the core of a student's program is the formation of a supervisory relationship with a faculty member, along with a supervisory committee. As a prospective student, you are responsible for seeking out a potential supervisor to help guide your graduate career.

Graduate Funding
Driven by the principles of academic excellence, York University offers competitive funding packages to support graduate students in research–based Master's and doctoral programs. Students who receive a funding offer letter from the Office of the Dean, Graduate Studies, can expect to receive funding support from the University.
Your funding package may consist of one or more of the following internal and external funding sources: fellowships, scholarships and awards, bursaries, paid internships, Teaching Assistantships (TA), Graduate Assistantships (GA), or Research Assistantships (RA). If your offer of admission does not include a commitment of funding support from York University, you are expected to cover all relevant expenses, including tuition and living, from your own sources during your studies.
