The Gerald Carrothers Graduate Scholarship

Overview

The Gerald Carrothers Graduate Scholarship has been created to reflect the values which were the foundation on which the Faculty of Environmental Studies were based when it was formally established by York University in 1968, as the first Faculty of Environmental Studies in a Canadian university.

This scholarship was established in honour of Gerald Carrothers, the founder and first dean of York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies and is intended to support graduate students in the Masters of Environmental Studies program, during the research and/or fieldwork stages of their program.
