The Faculty of Graduate Studies invites you to Experience Grad York a free, virtual event split up into two tracks: International and Domestic. With various sessions throughout the day, drop in to learn what a graduate degree can do for you on Wednesday, February 17th 2021.

  • Understand the graduate admissions process from start to end
  • Examine how to write a strong statement of interest with Dean & AVP Graduate Thomas Loebel
  • Learn more about applying for a visa/study permit and what studying in Canada is like
  • Have your questions answered by The Faculty of Graduate Studies’ administrators and services

This year’s virtual event is split up into two tracks: the International Track, and the Domestic Track, with a Bonus Session for everyone (Q&A with Current Students). Registration is required, and all events will be held via Zoom. You do not need to attend all sessions in your chosen track.

International Track (9:00 am to 2:45 pm EST)

9:00 am–10:30 am – International Admissions 101: Who, What, Where, When, and How to Apply
10:30 am–12:00 pm – Introduction to Funding and Scholarships for International Students
12:00 pm–1:30 pm – How to Write a Statement of Interest with Dean Loebel
1:30 pm–2:45 pm – Visas, Study Permits, Work Permits and More with York International
BONUS SESSION: 6:00 pm–7:30 pm – Q&A with Current Students

Domestic Track (12:00 pm to 4:30 pm EST)

12:00 pm–1:30 pm – How to Write a Statement of Interest with Dean Loebel
1:30 pm–3:00 pm – Domestic Admissions 101: Who, What, Where, When, and How to Apply
3:00 pm–4:30 pm – Introduction to Funding and Scholarships for Domestic Students
BONUS SESSION: 6:00 pm–7:30 pm – Q&A with Current Students
